About Our Museum
Come Visit Our Interactive Exhibits and Join in on Our Educational Programs!
Come dive into the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, where you'll have a boatload of fun discovering the rich maritime history of the Sandusky Bay area. Travel back in time to the old days of passenger boats, commercial fishing, and ice harvesting on Lake Erie! Learn about boat-building, Ohio's wetlands, shipwrecks, and Sandusky's role in the Underground Railroad.
In our two out-buildings, you can board Lyman boats, view other vessels on display, or see what's in work in our boat building school and restoration workshop. Kids can do a scavenger hunt, practice their nautical knots, and build a small model boat to take home; all included with museum admission.
When you're finished exploring the museum, you can visit our gift shop. We have a large selection of books and nautical items, including shirts, decorations, and toys!
Rates are listed under the Admission tab.
